The Mellow Mushroom Closes This Sunday in Tuscaloosa

Heads Up! The Mellow Mushroom will be permanently closing it's doors THIS Sunday night, a couple weeks earlier than originally expected.

A Mellow Mushroom Spokeswoman announced last month, that increasing rent prices made it impossible for the Pizzeria to remain open at its current location at 2230 University Boulevard. At that time, it was said the restaurant would remain open until the end of August. However, according to a statement released earlier this afternoon, it was revealed that THIS weekend would be it's last weekend to be open for business.

In the words of the statement released by Mellow Mushroom today, “It’s been a fun ride Tuscaloosa, but unfortunately Mellow Mushroom will be closing our doors Sunday, August 13th. We’ve been a proud member of the community and we thank each and every person that made Mellow part of their lives during our time on University Boulevard.”

The Mellow Mushroom will be open Saturday from 4:00pm to 11:00pm, and it's final day, Sunday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm
