This Weekend is Christmas on the Cahaba in Bibb County
This Weekend is Christmas on the Cahaba in Bibb County
It’s such a magical time of the year, even if there is a national pandemic going on. I have enjoyed all the holiday festivities that are leading up to Christmas.
One thing about me is that I love a good parade for any occasion. I love watching the marching bands come down the street. I’ve been in so many parades, from a marching band member to being with the radio station, I’ve lost count.
All parades are great. However, Christmas parades would be at the top of the list. It seems like everyone is in a good mood.
Bibb County is in the festive spirit for sure this year. According to the Christmas on the Cahaba Facebook page, the Christmas Parade will be Friday, December 11th at 6 pm. The Grand Marshall will be Healthcare Heroes from selected staff members from “Bibb Medical Center, AmServ, Cahaba Medical Care, Amedysis, and CV Home Health.” The “parade line up will be at Heritage Park from 4:00-5:30. The parade will begin in Brent and end at the Centreville Square. The parade route will proceed down Walnut Street to the Square and will not pass by the Hospital. The Bibb County High School Band will stop to perform in front of Brent City Hall and the Bibb County Courthouse.”
Saturday, December 12th, is Christmas on the Square for the Bibb County Christmas on the Cahaba. It takes place at the courthouse square from 11 am to 5 pm. There will be “a day full of Vendors, Car Show, Food Trucks, Live Music, and Santa Claus! Santa Pictures will be located in front of the Historic Bank Building.”
Be sure to get out to Bibb County this weekend to enjoy all the holiday spirit!
