The Southeastern Conference announced its annual honors for the men's golf season and the Alabama Crimson Tide is well represented. Alabama had three members of its 2020-21 team honored by the conference.

Senior Wilson Furr earned First Team All-SEC honors and is ranked No. 48 in the nation heading into NCAA Regional play. Furr scored the lowest 18-hole and 36-hole score of any Alabama golfer this year, shooting 64 and 134 respectively. The Jackson, Miss. native led Alabama in average vs. par (-0.19) and ranked second in stroke averages at 71.15. Additionally he claimed the 2020 U.S. Amateur stroke play championship and is one of two Alabama players to play in all nine events this season.

Sophomore Thomas Ponder earned a place on the Second Team All-SEC. Ponder is ranked No. 57 in the nation entering NCAA Regional play. He joined Furr as the only two Alabama players to compete in all nine events of the year. A native of Dothan, Al. he collected six top-20 finishes in his nine events and notched the best Alabama 54-hole score with a 204.

Freshman Canon Claycomb was named to the SEC All-Freshman team and averages 72 strokes per round, ranking third in the program. Claycomb earned three top-20 finishes in the eight events he played in this year. The Bowling Green, Ky. native is the first Alabama golfer to be named to the All-Freshman team since Davis Riley earned a place in 2016.

The Crimson Tide will hit the course next at the NCAA Stillwater Regional from May 17-19 in Stillwater, Okla. The final day of the regional will be televised on the Golf Channel.
