
Black Family Wellness Expo Set for Saturday in Tuscaloosa
Community health takes center stage this weekend as the Tuscaloosa (AL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, presents its 3rd Annual Black Family Wellness Expo (BFWE). The event will be held this Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to Noon at the McDonald Hughes Center, 3101 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.

The expo is free and open to the public, aiming to connect families with vital resources, practical education, and essential services that promote healthier living and build stronger communities. “Families, community members, and individuals of all ages are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the resources and information available,” said the press release.
Bringing the community together, the BFWE empowers individuals and families to take an active role in their health while discovering new strategies for overall wellness. Its mission is to promote complete physical, mental, and social well-being.
According to the press release, “The Tuscaloosa (AL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, celebrates over 32 years of friendship and exemplary service to Tuscaloosa and West Alabama.”
Their mission centers on uplifting communities through service, with a focus on youth empowerment, health, wealth, educational support, scholarships, the arts, cultural enrichment, and fostering broader global awareness.
