Tuscaloosa’s TES Accepting Heaters, Blankets, Socks for Winter Relief
Temporary Emergency Services (TES), in collaboration with WVUA 23 News and Townsquare Media, is hosting its annual Heater Drive to provide warmth and support to individuals and families in need throughout the winter season.

The Heater Drive will be held on Wednesday, January 28, from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at TES, located at 1705 15th St, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. In addition, WVUA 23 and Townsquare Media will provide live coverage.
“TES is accepting donations of new or gently used heaters, blankets, and socks to help ensure members of the community have the essentials to stay warm during cold weather,” said the TES press release.
Community members, local businesses, faith-based organizations, and civic groups are warmly invited to participate. Donations may be dropped off directly at TES, making it easy to help share the warmth with those in need.
“As winter temperatures drop, the need for warmth becomes more urgent for many of our neighbors,” said Dr. Karen Thompson-Jackson, TES Executive Director. “The Heater Drive is more than a collection effort. It is a reminder that when our community comes together, we can provide comfort, dignity, and hope to individuals and families who might otherwise face the cold alone.”
