Tuscaloosa Public Library Is Open With Safety Procedures
Tuscaloosa Public Library Is Open With Safety Procedures
As we are still dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in Alabama, the state is reopening various businesses and various public services. I am happy to share that the main library of the Tuscaloosa Public Library is back open to the public with circulation services only. You know how much I love spending time at the Tuscaloosa Public Library. So, I was very interested in knowing all the details, recommendations, and requirements of the opening. I found that the opening is also met with specific safety procedures. Here are the features that you need to know:
- Main Library is open – Tuesday – Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
- You will only be allowed to check out materials and return materials
- Only 20 guests at a time. And a reminder, if you are a family of six, that counts as six guests.
- The Tuscaloosa Public Library is asking guests to be timely while at the library.
- You are encouraged to wear a face mask.
- You are required to maintain social distancing of six feet. If guests do not comply, they will be asked to leave.
At the time of this story, the Alabama Public Health, for the state of Alabama, there are now “18,766 confirmed cases of the COVID-19, and with 234, 993 total tested.” The recommendation still in place is that you are safer at home. I encourage everyone to continue practicing social distancing, use face coverings when in public, disinfect often, and keep up with your washing hand practices.
