Tuscaloosa Tuesday: Auctions, Police and Community Engagement, and More
Each week, the governing bodies in the City of Tuscaloosa hold meetings to discuss municipal business. Before the entire council convenes, various committees meet to discuss certain topics.
The following are a few of the topics to be discussed today.
From the Finance Committee Meeting Agenda:
- Authorization for the Mayor to execute the Coronavirus Relief Fund Acknowledgement & Certification
- Authorization of contract with Southeast Auction Company, Inc. for online auction services
From the Council Special Called Public Safety Committee Meeting
- Community Policing and Engagement Initiative: Mayor Walt Maddox will unveil a community engagement and protection initiative for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, as it is believed by the City of Tuscaloosa and TPD that it is time to be more and do more to increase trust and accountability in building strong relationships between the city, police department, and citizens.
