Uber To Begin Operations in Tuscaloosa On Thursday

The popular ride sharing service, Uber is expected to begin operations in Tuscaloosa on Thursday. Uber is the smart phone app that allows customers to contact contracted Uber drivers, enter their pick up location and destination. The customers can also track the driver's location using the app.

The Uber company began operating in Tuscaloosa in the Fall of 2014, but left within weeks after City Hall demand they comply with a series of safety regulations. The Uber company's refusal to comply with The City Of Tuscaloosa led to The Tuscaloosa Police Threatening to arrest anyone who operated under the Uber brand.
