Visit these Alabama Cities for the Perfect Staycation
Adventure is calling my name.
Here enters the thought of a Staycation! There are so many great places in Alabama that you can escape for the weekend. Enjoy a long weekend and decompress.
In Tuscaloosa, you can check out Hotel Indigo. It’s super cute and swanky. For me, it’s the view from the rooftop bar. Also, there is an entire vibe within the riverfront area. Grab breakfast across the street at the Heritage House. Lunch is just a short walk up the street to Central Mesa. Dinner, the go-to, would be Chucks; I still dream about those scallops. Evening cocktails back at Hotel Indigo.
What about a STATEcation?
In Huntsville, I would suggest the Element Huntsville by Westin. Everything about this location is gorgeous. I just checked their website, and it notes that their indoor and seasonal outdoor pools are open. That’s a win for me. You always spend some time in Huntsville visiting the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, Monte Sano State Park, and the list is endless.
In Montgomery, a nice stop is at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Spa at the Convention Center. It’s the spa for me. I see a hot stone massage in my future. You can check out the Montgomery Zoo, Civil Rights Memorial, Dexter Avenue King Memorial, Alabama State Capitol, and other great attractions in Montgomery.
I am fully supporting learning more about the town and state you live in before jetting off. It is always great to spend money within your local or state economy too. As always, check ahead to double-check the hotel amenities before booking your staycation.
