Women Gain Business Skills in Virtual Resilience Seminar, Aug. 27
One of the greatest assets to a city the size of Tuscaloosa is its entrepreneurs!
There are numerous resources available for local business owners. From the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama to programs like Tuscaloosa Builds, the opportunity to not only network but also gain knowledge from others superfluous.
An example of such is the Women in Business Virtual Resilience Seminar! This Zoom webinar takes place on Thursday, August 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Among the topics of discussion are preparedness, finance, networking, and resiliency!
One of the major reasons businesses fail is lack of preparation. Having a great product isn’t enough, and most business owners will testify that some of their greatest supporters are not people they knew personally, which means they had to work towards building their clientele. Part of preparation includes advertising, which leads to the second topic.
Financial literacy and management are crucial. For instance, a restaurant owner should know the price of each piece of meat, each side serving, every cup, lid, piece of flatware, etc. All of these should be included in the price given to each customer. The same applies to every material, regardless of the business. In addition, advertising is of the utmost importance. Otherwise, how can a business be sustained?
Hand in hand with advertising is networking. Often times, it’s not what you know but who you know and who knows you!
And when it comes to resiliency, if women are the epitome of what it means to be resilient if nothing else.
But it surely doesn’t hurt to gain strength or to learn business strategies from other women. Be sure to sign up for this event!
