Habitat For Humanity Continues To Help Families In Need

About 15 years ago I was part of a project called Habitat for humanity, At the time I had no idea what it was all about.  My Birmingham radio station at the time was heavily involved with the construction of a home for a chosen family that desperately needed a house.

The family had applied along with other applicants and was receiving this house, that was being built by volunteers and purely by donations. I remember showing up that morning ready to work and do my part, it was beautiful thing.

15 years later, I'm still amazed at how the habitat for Humanity operation is still building homes for those worthy and who meets the qualifications.  I can still see the smiles on the single mom and her two kids just going crazy over the fact they now had a home to call their own. The Kids were jumping around screaming how they had their very own room. Don't waste time apply today so that you can possibly make your dreams come true.
