Severe Weather Outbreak Likely for Alabama Through Wednesday [UPDATED; VIDEO]

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Birmingham forecasts the threat of a severe weather outbreak in Alabama through Wednesday, with the potential for tornadoes and widespread damaging winds.

The video above is the latest weather briefing from the NWS. The forecast will be refined as the event draws nearer; it is still best to prepare for all modes of severe weather. The graph below shows the current severe weather timeline.

The NWS shows the areas expected to be impacted by round two of the storms in the graphs below.

 

The chart below depicts the relative threat levels for rounds two and three–note the high probability for damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes:
