21 Inmates Test Positive for COVID-19 at Tuscaloosa County Jail
The novel Coronavirus outbreak continues to spread in Tuscaloosa, and now the local jail has been impacted.
WVUA 23's Chelsea Barton reports 21 inmates at the Tuscaloosa County Jail have now tested positive for COVID-19. Sheriff Ron Abernathy says workers at the Tuscaloosa County Jail are being given personal protective equipment and that the jail is being sanitized throughout the day.
The prisoners who have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus are being isolated from the rest of the jail population.
