Carrollton Councilman Arrested on Child Sex Charges

A Carrollton, Ala. city councilman has been arrested on nine counts of child sex crimes, according to a Columbus, Miss. news station.

Tim Strickland was charged with three counts of sodomy first degree, four counts of sexual abuse, and two counts of enticing a child for immoral purposes. Two of the victims are said to be under the age of 12.

Strickland was released Monday on a $500,000 bond and has not resigned from the city council.
