The Alabama Department of Public Health has confirmed over 200 cases of the novel Coronavirus within Tuscaloosa County and close to 8,000 cases across the state.

The latest data from the ADPH shows Tuscaloosa County currently has 218 confirmed cases of COVID-19. 4,518 tests have been processed in Tuscaloosa County, and sadly, the ADPH has recorded two confirmed deaths as a result of the virus within Tuscaloosa County.

7,888 cases of the novel Coronavirus have been confirmed across the state. The ADPH has processed 91,933 tests for the virus, and since March 13th, 1,043 Alabamians have been hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19. 408 of those hospitalized were placed in the Intensive Care Unit, and 244 patients have required the use of a ventilator.

COVID-19 has killed 290 Alabamians. Close to 80% of those who lost their lives were over 65 years of age, and close to 56% of those who died were males.
