Alabama Now Has Over 800 Cases Of COVID-19
Currently, at the time of this report, according to Alabama’s COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard, there are now 825 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Alabama. Also, there have been 4,755 people tested, with, unfortunately, four deaths due to the coronavirus. In a press conference earlier, Trump mentioned that the peak death rate for the United States is likely two weeks away.
Currently, (at the time of this post) with information provided by the Alabama's COVID-10 Data and Surveillance Dashboard, Tuscaloosa County has 23 cases of COVID-19. Other counties in our listening areas and close to us also have COVID-19 cases. Jefferson now has 245 cases, Shelby has 79, Greene has 3, Pickens has 2, Lamar as 1, and Walker has 30.
Also, during the press conference held by President Trump in the Rose Garden in regards to the coronavirus task force held on Sunday, March 29, 2020, he stated: “we will defeat the virus.” He also discussed rapid timing tests and blood-related therapies for those with the coronavirus. He thanked the work of FEMA and the Army Corp of Engineers for their quick action in building a makeshift hospital in New York. Trump said that they would be doing this similar set up in other states.
Also, Trump announced that they would extend their guidelines until April 30, 2020, to slow the spread. Also, President Trump stated that there would be a statement on Tuesday with finalized plans, findings, data, and the rationale behind the decisions made.
