The NCAA ended the in-person recruiting dead period on June 1 and the flood gates are open on the Alabama campus. One of the most recognizable names that will be taking a visit to the Capstone is Arch Manning.

Manning is a 5-star prospect out of Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans, he is the nephew of Super Bowl winning quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning. The young Manning stands 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, he is considered the No. 1 quarterback in the 2023 class by 247Sports.

Manning has a busy June planned, he was visiting the campus of the Clemson Tigers last week and is headed out to Texas and SMU this week and will head to Alabama and Georgia next week. The exciting prospect will be on campus in Tuscaloosa from June 18-20.

“Arch has been building a relationship with Alabama for a long time, first with Coach (Steve) Sarkisian and company," said Director of Recruiting for 247Sport Steve Wiltfong. "But I think that has translated or been handed off to Bill O’Brien, and obviously Coach O’Brien has a ton of pedigree. I think there’s a lot of reasons why Arch Manning is excited about Alabama. He had a terrific visit to Clemson. He imagines he’ll have a first-class visit to Texas and SMU, and same goes with Georgia and Alabama that have a lot to offer. We’ll see where things go with him moving forward, because he also wants to visit Stanford and USC.

The Crimson Tide has been on a hot streak with its quarterbacks the last few years with Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones all playing at a high level. The Tide is set up to continue that trend with 5-star quarterback Bryce Young appearing to be the air apparent and Alabama picking up the commitment from 2022 5-star quarterback Ty Simpson.
