Birmingham Woman Charged With Manslaughter In The Shooting Death Of Her Husband

Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards said Alice G. Jones shot and killed her husband 69-year-old Shelly Manson during a domestic incident.

Jones has now been charged with manslaughter and at the time of this story being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $30,000 bond.

Police found the body of Manson who had been fatally shot at the Smithfield Court housing development at Friday afternoon.

After questioning Jones she was arrested on the scene.
