Checker’s Is Opening Across From Stillman College

It's been years since a company has opened in Tuscaloosa's West End. However, Checker's is set to start building across from Stillman College within the next few months.

Students at Stillman College are excited for this new fast food restaurant, especially since it's walking distance from the school. The only option they have at this time is Sonic.

Checker's will be able to provide jobs and revenue for Tuscaloosa's West End, which can help with making changes.

I was on that side of town just the other day, and there are not a lot of food options. I wonder how we could get more restaurants over there - maybe incentives?

I just hope the students and residents visit and show other businesses that there is money to be made.
