This weekend our area will experience a late-season cold snap in the mornings. The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Frost Advisory that starts on Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 1:00 am until 8:00 am.

What you need to know is that “temperatures as low as 34 will result in frost formation.” Also, “frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered,” said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.

As temperatures could fall tonight into Saturday morning, this could also apply for Saturday night into Sunday morning. We will keep you updated if that is the case. However, enjoy the sunshine-filled days.

ABC 33/40 and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist James Spann said that “the sky will become clear tonight, and winds will diminish after midnight. Most places will see a low early tomorrow in the 30-36 degree range... a few colder spots could reach the upper 20s. We note some frost is also likely early Sunday with lows in the 30s again. The weekend will feature a good supply of sunshine. The high tomorrow will be close to 60, followed by mid-70s Sunday as a warming trend begins.”
