The National Weather Service in Birmingham said that there is a “Heat Advisory for much of south and west Central Alabama through 9 pm tonight.”

The NWS canceled the Heat Advisory for the following counties: Fayette, Jefferson, Lamar, Pickens, Shelby, Tuscaloosa, and Walker.

Saturday Outlook

You can expect “scattered showers and storms today with highs from the upper 80s northwest to the mid-90s south. Isolated showers and storms tonight with lows in the low 70s. Showers and storms south Sunday with highs in the low 90s.”

Impacted Counties

The current Heat Advisory impacts the following counties: Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Chambers, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pike, Russell, Sumter, and Tallapoosa.
