DCH Has A Website To Register For Vaccinations

The COVID-19 vaccine is currently available to Alabamians. DCH has a tool that makes it more convenient for people to schedule vaccinations.

At the beginning of 2021, the COVID-19 vaccine was made available to a select group of Alabama residents. Healthcare workers, those in the 75-plus age group, law enforcement officers, and firefighters are among the selected.

Recently, someone took to Twitter to voice their frustrations with Alabama and the vaccine. Stating that relatives who qualified in Mississippi were able to get the vaccine but meanwhile, in Alabama, it still has yet to happen. "My dad, 80, and mom, 76, have not gotten the COVID vaccine nor have they been successful getting an appointment. Meanwhile my in-laws, also both over 75, got their first dose 10 days ago in Mississippi." I can understand her frustrations whit the situation. Especially when it comes to our elderly loved ones.

Luckily, someone replied with a solution that many may not know about. DCH has a website that allows people to register for the COVID-19 vaccine. With the click of a button, you can set an appointment for you or a loved one to get the vaccine. If the first dose has already been administered, no worries. You have the option to set an appointment for the first or second dose.

If you'd like to set an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine on the DCH site click here. Be prepared to provide your insurance information to schedule the appointment.
