DCH Sets New Record for COVID-19 Inpatients, ICU Admissions
The latest numbers from DCH Health System show the healthcare provider is treating a record number of patients for the novel Coronavirus.
As of 5 p.m. Monday, January 18th, DCH is currently treating 191 inpatients for COVID-19. 41 of those patients are in the Intensive Care Unit. 16 COVID-19 positive patients have been placed on ventilators while 22 patients have required treatment with a BiPAP.
DCH Health Care System's previous record of 179 COVID-19 inpatients was set just two weeks ago.
DCH is still in Phase 1a of the Alabama Department of Public Health's COVID-19 vaccination plan. The provider also continues to offer COVID-19 testing in its remote site in the Laundry Lot near DCH Regional Medical Center.
