Different Day, Same Dangerous Hot Conditions in Alabama
It’s a different day but the same dangerous hot conditions continue for a good portion of Alabama.
“Millions of people in the heart of the United States are baking under a late-summer heat wave that has shut down schools, canceled outdoor activities and caused a spike in emergency room visits,” said The Weather Channel.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued an “Excessive Heat Warning and a Heat Advisory are in effect for parts of Central Alabama on Thursday. Heat index values up to 111 are possible.”
The Townsquare Media coverage area is mainly under the Excessive Heat Warning while a few are under a Heat Advisory. Please do not get too caught up in what zone you are in because both risk areas are forecasted for dangerously hot conditions.
These warnings and advisories are in place until Friday at 9 p.m.
Excessive Heat Warning
Heat index values up to 111 expected
Heat Advisory
Heat index values up to 109 expected
