Infielder Jenna Lord, who entered the NCAA transfer portal in late May, announced Sunday that she will officially leave Alabama for fellow Southeastern Conference school Ole Miss in a post on Twitter.

Along with a photo in her updated Rebels jersey, her post read, "Blessed is an understatement, but this blessing feels too good. HOTTY TODDY."

Lord appeared in 45 of Alabama's 57 games as a freshman and earned 30 starts in that time. She finished her season hitting .289 with 19 RBI and two home runs during her 90 at-bats for 2022.

While Lord's transfer wasn't necessarily planned, it didn't come as a surprise to those following Alabama softball closely as she was just one of six total to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Under the transfer rules, athletes who enter the portal may return to their original institution or have a one-time transfer, without having to miss a year of play, to any other NCAA school.

Fellow freshmen Megan Bloodworth and Dallis Goodnight are among the five others from Alabama's "Team 26" that still remain in the transfer portal along with Lexi Kilfoyl, Savannah Woodard and Abby Doerr.
