Former Tide Star Returns to T-Town
While summertime may be the slowest part of the year for any football fan, there is still plenty going on with your favorite programs.
Summer is the perfect opportunity for official visits and camps, both of which the Crimson Tide has been involved with heavily this offseason.
Recently, Alabama hosted a camp for some of the nation's top prospects to not only show off their skillsets but also be coached up by some of the best in the game.
2025 defensive tackle Reginald Vaughn was in attendance of the Tide's most recent camp and got some extra help from none other than a former Crimson Tide star.
In a tweet shared by Vaughn, the rising sophomore can be seen with former Alabama linebacker Christian Miller as well as defensive line coach Freddie Roach.
Miller, a four-star recruit in 2014, played for the Crimson Tide for four seasons. After redshirting his freshman year, Miller earned a role on special teams as a sophomore and eventually worked his way up the depth chart before his junior season. That year; however, Miller would suffer an arm injury in the season opener against Florida State and miss 10 games.
In his final and most memorable season, Miller was excellent for the Tide until another injury would cut the year short oncemore. The senior recorded 11.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and led the team in quarterback pressures with 12, but suffered a leg injury against Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl that would force him to miss the Tide's faceoff with Clemson.
After his final year at Alabama, Miller was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers where he would spend just one season before opting out ahead of 2020 and then being waived prior to 2021.
While it looks as if Miller's time in the NFL may be done, could this be the beginning of his coaching career?
