Heat Index Values Could Soar Up to 107 in Portions of Alabama
This has been a jammed packed weather week between the dangerous heat index values and back-to-back severe weather threats.
A “Heat Advisory” has been issued by the National Weather Service in Birmingham. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat-related illnesses to occur.
Heat Index Values Could Reach Up to 107 Degrees
This advisory is for today from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. for the following Townsquare Media coverage area counties:
Bibb
Fayette
Greene
Hale
Lamar
Perry
Pickens
Sumter
Tuscaloosa
Other counties under this advisory include Barbour, Bullock, Dallas, Lowndes, Marengo, Montgomery, and Pike.
