Iron Bowl Weather Forecast for the Biggest Game of the Year

The Iron Bowl is known as the biggest game of the year for Alabama and Auburn fans. The spirit of competition between the two universities has been taking place since the first encounter in 1893 at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

As fans descend upon Tuscaloosa ahead of the game on Saturday, November 26 and the kick-off is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. You can expect a dry Saturday morning across the Yellowhammer State then possible scattered showers in the afternoon for the western counties.

James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that it “will be a mild day for the biggest football game of the year in Alabama.”

Currently, temperatures are “projecting low 70s at kickoff. A passing shower or two can't be ruled out, but the widespread rain won't arrive in Tuscaloosa until after the completion of the game,” said Spann.

There is a “chance of a shower Saturday afternoon is 30-35 percent. Temperatures fall into the mid-60s by the final whistle, and rain becomes widespread across West Alabama by 9:00 Saturday night,” said Spann.
