Issa Rae Is The Next Celebrity Voice For Google Assistant

I am so excited because Issa Rae is the newest addition to the celebrity voice lineup for Google assistant.  I love Issa Rae in her series Insecure, and now she can tell me a few jokes as the voice on Google Assistant.  How does this magic happen?  Well, According to Fast Company, “Google leverages DeepMind’s WaveNet speech synthesis mode to create realistic-sounding voices without having to record hundreds of pages of dialogue and prompts.”  If I can set it up, anyone can set up Issa as the voice.  Let’s just say; I don’t follow directions very well.  And setting up voices on Goggle Assistant was pretty easy.  I found some simple instructions from The Root “To switch to Issa’s voice, simply say “Hey Google, talk like Issa,” or go to your “Assistant voice” in Assistant Settings.”  And because I follow the Insecure series, I did ask this question that was suggested by Google “Hey Google, do you love Daniel or Lawrence?”
