Nate Oats “Super Disappointed” With Bediako Ruling
On Monday night, Tuscaloosa Circuit Court Judge Daniel Pruet denied Alabama basketball center Charles Bediako's preliminary injunction, resulting in Bediako being ruled ineligible for the remainder of the Alabama men's basketball season.

Shortly after, Alabama men's basketball head coach Nate Oats appeared on 'Hey Coach' with Chris Stewart, where he voiced his displeasure at the ruling handed down by Judge Pruet.
"Obviously super disappointed, disappointed in the whole thing to be honest with you," Oats said on Hey Coach on Monday night. "I don't think it should've ever got to court. The NCAA should've made him eligible based on, you know, 100 current college basketball players, former professionals, most of them over in Europe, some in the G-League, guys being drafted, rights being owned by NBA teams, as in James Nnaji being eligible to play. I thought it was kind of a no-brainer by the NCAA.
"I didn't think it would be that big of an issue. The NCAA hasn't really changed much without courts forcing them to change. I thought the courts would see the inconsistencies in the rulings and agree with Charles's attorneys at the NCAA - to me, the NCAA's point of why Charles shouldn't be eligible was all these rules that they have, but they're not applying those rules to all these other players they've made eligible. Very disappointing in the whole case, disappointing for Charles. Now, for our team, we've got to turn the focus back to the guys that are gonna be on the floor, and we've got some very capable players that we won a lot of games before Charles got here."
