A little bit of rock, Broadway, jazz, family fun and some classic ABBA are all headed to downtown Tuscaloosa.

The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa has announced its 2026-27 TuscArts OnStage season, featuring five performances at the Historic Bama Theatre beginning later this month.

The season kicks off Saturday, Aug. 22, with Back In Black: The Ultimate Powered Up AC/DC Experience. The tribute band will bring the sound and high-energy atmosphere of an AC/DC concert to the Bama Theatre beginning at 8 p.m.

Next up is Jukebox Saturday Night’s Music of Mancini on Oct. 16. The show celebrates legendary composer Henry Mancini with music connected to classics including “The Pink Panther,” “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and “Peter Gunn.”

Families will get their turn Nov. 1 when TheaterWorksUSA brings The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System to Tuscaloosa. The musical adventure follows Ms. Frizzle and her students into space while mixing science, teamwork and plenty of laughs.
