The following items are being solicited:

Other items to be accepted:
- bottled water
- feminine hygiene products
- first aid supplies
- paper towels
- toilet paper
- work gloves
- heavy-duty trash bags
Mayor Walt Maddox said in the release the donation drive is a way to help fulfill immediate need to those who lost things to the storm and assist the city of Selma as they begin to rebuild the area.
"Just as cities and towns from all over Alabama came together to support Tuscaloosa in the aftermath of the devastating April 27, 2011 tornado, the City of Tuscaloosa will support the City of Selma on their road to recovery," Maddox said.
Citizens who would like to make financial contributions are asked to make them out to the Black Belt Community Foundation by clicking here.
