Alabama junior wide receiver Jameson Williams has been named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week for his multiple touchdown effort against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Williams amassed 177 kick return yards on three returns while also scoring twice. He tied the Alabama career mark for kickoff returns for touchdowns in just a single game.

Williams electrified Bryant-Denny Stadium by taking the opening kickoff of the game 100-yards while only having to break one tackle. He joins Christion Jones as the only players in Alabama history with two kickoff return touchdowns under their belt.

His returns were the 27th and 28th kickoff returns for touchdowns in Alabama football history.

Williams, a transfer from Ohio State, has been hugely impactful for the Crimson Tide this season. Williams has celebrated in the endzone five times through four games. He's hauled in 12 receptions for 299 yards and three touchdowns to go along with his five kick returns for 228 yards.

The speedster has been electric this season with four of his five touchdowns coming from over 80 yards away.

The honor from the league office is the first of the year for Williams and the fourth of the year for the Crimson Tide. He will undoubtedly continue to carve out a big role on the 2021 Crimson Tide team both on offense and on special teams.
