Local Churches Sponsor Alberta Community Unity Day in July
The churches of Alberta, Beards Chapel A.M.E. Zion, College Hill Baptist, Alberta Baptist, Greater Faith Tabernacle, Hope City, University Church of Christ, Cross Pointe, and Druid Hills United Methodist have big plans for the upcoming Alberta Community Unity Day.
Due to weather, the previous Unity Day had to be rescheduled to Saturday, July 15, at Jaycee Park from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Tuscaloosa City Police and Fire Departments and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office will have displays on site. Also, you can expect “games, inflatables, wall climbing, free prizes, and free food,” according to a press release from Alberta Community Churches. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the “sounds of the Paul W. Bryant High School Marching Band.”
