One of my favorite groups of all-time is the Temptations. David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Otis Williams, Paul Williams, and Melvin Franklin the original group in my opinion was the best installment of the Temptations.

They had a chemistry that was untouchable by their peers. My favorite Temptation was Melvin Franklin. I loved to hear Melvin Franklin talk, sing, adlib or whatever, when you heard Melvin Franklin you knew it was Melvin Franklin. Melvin Franklin had the best bass in the business.

It was on this day February 23, 2016 in 1995 Melvin Franklin of The Temptations died at the age of 53 of complications following a brain seizure in Los Angeles.
