A new food truck is selling German and European fare in Northport and may soon become the city's latest brick-and-mortar restaurant, city councilman Jeff Hogg announced on Facebook.

Rolf's Deli and Sausage started selling German specialties including bratwurst, soft pretzels, croissants and more in December. Owner and operator Rolf Meyer sets up in Buford Plaza next to the Save-a-Lot food store and offers European cuisine you can't find anywhere else in Tuscaloosa County.

Hogg said Meyer is a Northport citizen and is in the process of finding the perfect spot to open a true restaurant and bakery.

Until then, you can find their food truck in Buford Plaza, offering authentic German entrees made without fillers, preservatives or dyes at incredible prices.
