Police Kill Deaf Man Who Didn’t Respond to Commands

In a very unfortunate incident, a deaf man who is said to be mentally disabled was shot and killed by police officers as he approached them with a metal pipe.

The Chicago Tribune reports that 35-year-old Magdiel Sanchez was shot with both a Taser as well as a gun.

Apparently, the officers were coming to a residence to investigate reports of a hit and run. Sanchez was sitting on the porch with a metal pipe and began walking towards the officers. They instructed him to stop, but... Well, he was deaf; and according to neighbors, he was also developmentally disabled.
