
Dangerous Heat Sticks Around as Advisory Covers West Alabama
The dangerous heat isn’t letting up. A major heat risk continues across West Alabama today, Wednesday, July 29. Yesterday’s oppressive heat was a reminder of just how quickly extreme temperatures can become dangerous.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Heat Advisory for several Alabama counties, which is in effect from 11 a.m. through 9 p.m.
In West Alabama, the advisory includes the Townsquare Media Coverage Area of Bibb, Greene, Hale, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties.
Stay hydrated, limit time outside during the hottest portion of the day, and never underestimate the risk of heat-related illness.
