Police in Tuscaloosa County are looking for a 2017-2018 Black Nissan Pathfinder that may be linked to the July 5th road rage killing of Tuscaloosa's Zakia Bibbs.

Bibbs and two others were in a car on I-20/59 earlier this month when someone opened fire on them from another vehicle around the 96-mile marker near Lake View.

Bibbs was killed and the other two people in the car with her were injured.

Gary Hood, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said Thursday morning that investigators have interviewed witnesses and are now looking for a new black Nissan Pathfinder with damage and/or missing parts from its passenger side.

Hood said the damage may have been repaired in the two weeks since the killing.

Witnesses report that there were three black males in the SUV in question the night of the shooting.

Anyone who witnessed this event, or may have information about it, is urged to contact the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit at ‪205-464-8690 or TCSO dispatch at ‪205-752-0616 ext 1.
