Potholes at the Old McFarland Mall Could Cost Me a Fortune

I’m sure there are plenty of things that need to be repaired in Tuscaloosa, but can these potholes be put near the top of the list?

Here I am, enjoying my mother’s day weekend with my family. I cooked a mouth-watering breakfast for my wife and had plans to take my son to the park.

Before we went to the park, I thought it’d be a good idea to stop by the dollar store to get a ball for him to play with. He’s just a 1-year-old so he didn’t need a fancy ball. I pull into the old McFarland Mall parking lot and it feels like I’m back in Costa Rica driving an ATV through the wilderness. Potholes everywhere!

I'm sure you already know, these aren't your average potholes. These things can cause some serious damage to any vehicle. I'm wondering why these haven't been fixed yet. I'll be the first to admit, there are a lot of things that need to be fixed or worked on in Tuscaloosa. these potholes should definitely be on the list somewhere!

It's bad enough the huge potholes are there, but it's worse when they catch you by surprise. I'll never forget my 3rd time in that parking lot. I thought I dodged every pothole in sight. It was almost like this pothole was waiting for me. I hit it so hard, you could've sworn I broke the rim on my car.

Using March 2019 data from the Social Security Administration, Stacker compiled a list of the most popular names in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C., according to their 2018 SSA rankings. The top five boy names and top five girl names are listed for each state, as well as the number of babies born in 2018 with that name. Historically common names like Michael only made the top five in three states, while the less common name Harper ranks in the top five for 22 states.
