Rain with Possible Strong, Severe Storms in Alabama for Easter Sunday
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said to expect “more rain today.”
There will be periods of showers and thunderstorms today going into tomorrow morning. Some of these storms could become strong to severe. According to the Storm Prediction Center, (SPC) our coverage area is mainly in the “marginal risk” area while some counties are in the “slight risk” area.
In those areas that experience heavier storms, Spann said that those storms could “produce hail and gusty winds; there is no tornado threat (with the possible exception of far Southwest Alabama). But, like yesterday, it won't rain all day, and the sun could peek out at times. The high today will be in the low to mid-70s.”
