This Weekend Expect Colder Temps Plus Possible Snow Flurries in Alabama
Sunny skies and a really nice warm-up are expected for Alabama for today and tomorrow. The Townsquare Media coverage area could experience highs on Friday between 65 and 70 degrees. Enjoy it because it will not last long.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that “global models are faster with the arrival of our weekend cold front. It will move through the state Saturday morning in a dry fashion, and colder air will move quickly into the state. Guidance now suggests some places over the Tennessee Valley could actually hold in the 30s through the day, with 40s and 50s to the south. Southeast Alabama will reach the 60s Saturday afternoon before the front arrives.”
BIG QUESTION: Is There a Chance for Snow?
Spann noted that “behind the front, a few snow flurries are possible in the cold air Saturday night, but the air will be dry and we still expect nothing meaningful (no impact).”
Good News – Weather Wise
Here is the good news about this cold snap, it won’t last too long. We will start the weather dry for the first part of the week and you can expect a warming trend as well.
