Tua Tagovailoa has announced he will be holding a press conference Thursday December 5 at 2:30. There is speculation that Tagovailoa will make an announcement regarding his plans for the 2020 season. Tagovailoa was candid with Kirk Herbstreit recently telling him he wasn't quite sure what his future holds.

Tagovailoa injured his hip against Mississippi State on November 16. He had surgery the following week to repair his dislocated hip and fracture. Tagovailoa will be unable to put weight on his leg for six weeks and will have to use crutches for a total of three months. This prognosis puts preparation for the NFL Combine and predraft process severely behind.

Prior to being injured, Tagovailoa was widely considered a top five prospect in the upcoming NFL draft. His injury puts his draft status in jeopardy and creates questions about if he will still be drafted highly. Tagovailoa still has a year of eligibility in college and can choose to return to Alabama for his senior season.

The star quarterback has said there is a "50-50" chance that he stays at Alabama or leaves to pursue an NFL career. Speaking with Herbstreit he said he did not know when a decision would come.

Tagovailoa said, "What I feel is heavy on my heart and is the right thing to do for me, I’ll do it then whether it’s tomorrow or the 20th of January. If God throws it on my heart in the next 20 seconds, I’ll tell you guys, but I don’t know.”

No matter what the popular quarterback decides Tide 100.9 will have all the coverage live on air and here on our website.
