COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Alabama and across the United States. Now, attention is being brought to the growing amount of COVID-19 infection cases among children.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention mentions that “COVID-19 vaccines are effective at helping protect against severe disease and death from variants of the virus that cause COVID-19 currently circulating, including the Delta variant.”

If you have not been vaccinated, there are opportunities for you to do so at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, at the Birthright Alumni Hall. The Alabama Department of Public Health will be offering FREE COVID-19 vaccines. These clinics will take place on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, and Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. A photo ID is required for the vaccination.

Also, here is a friendly reminder from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for those that are vaccinated “that you can resume many activities that you did before the pandemic, but you should wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission to maximize protection from the Delta variant and possibly spreading it to others.”
