Tuscaloosa Man Charged In The Shooting Death Of His Younger Brother

Tuscaloosa County Sheriff deputies responded to a shooting call on Reichhold Road Tuesday night around 7:30pm, when they arrived they found the victim  Travis Nichols 37, who had been shot once in the abdomen.

According to Tuscaloosa County Homicide Unit Commander Capt. Gary Hood , the victim Nichols ,37 was later pronounced dead at DCH Regional Medical Center. The victim's older brother Michael Nichols 56, has been charged in the shooting death of Travis Nichols.

Michael Nichols admitted to homicide investigators that he in fact shot his younger brother. Michael Nichols has been charged with felony murder in the shooting death of Travis Nichols and was being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a bond set at $60,000.
