UAB To Hold Virtual Panel On COVID-19's Impact On Food & Shelter

UAB's School Of Public Health will host a Facebook Live Panel Saturday, May 9th from 2-3p. CST. The virtual panel will be packed with expert knowledge and hosted on their Facebook page. Health experts Shauntice Allen, PhD, MA and Faith Fletcher, PhD, MA from UAB, Pathways Executive Director Carrie Laland, and Jones Valley Teaching Farm Executive Director Amanda Storey will be featured in this live panel. Challenges for the homeless population, resources for those in need of food, and information on how those in need can get help during this time will all be discussed during this event. I love that UAB is doing this virtual panel. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented problems for plenty of Alabama residents in terms of access to food and shelter. These people are more at risk of contracting the Coronavirus. Schools have been helping by supplying students with meals throughout the week.

The UAB School Of Public Health will stream the panel on Facebook Live and then post the full event on their Youtube channel. They invited members of the community to participate in this third installment of their webinar series via their Facebook page:
