The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued an Areal Flood Watch that goes until 7:00 pm. This is for the following counties: Bibb, Chilton, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa.

* WHAT...FLASH FLOODING CAUSED BY EXCESSIVE RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE. * WHERE...A PORTION OF CENTRAL ALABAMA, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES, BIBB, CHILTON, DALLAS, GREENE, HALE, MARENGO, PERRY, PICKENS, SUMTER AND TUSCALOOSA. * WHEN...UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING. * IMPACTS...EXCESSIVE RUNOFF MAY RESULT IN FLOODING OF RIVERS, CREEKS, STREAMS, AND OTHER LOW-LYING AND FLOOD-PRONE LOCATIONS. FLOODING MAY OCCUR IN POOR DRAINAGE AND URBAN AREAS. EXTENSIVE STREET FLOODING AND FLOODING OF CREEKS AND RIVERS ARE POSSIBLE.
