Westside Community Action Council Accepting Applications for Summer Training and Jobs Program
There are numerous summer camps running in Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas, but what's available for those teens who aren't really into the camp atmosphere?
The Westside Community Action Council has announced a 7-week program for youth ages 15-19. Participants will gain work experience, be paid, tour colleges, and participate in life lesson workshops.
Applications are being accepted TODAY ONLY!
To qualify, the teens must be residents of the City of Tuscaloosa and must apply at the McDonald Hughes Center between 3 pm and 6 pm. Parents should accompany the students if possible but are not required.
With this program covering the older end of the adolescent spectrum, it gives its participants age-appropriate structure while preparing them for the next stage of their lives without the full on responsibility of adulthood.
Again, applications are only available today from 3 pm to 6 pm at the McDonald Hughes Center (3101 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd; Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.) Don't let this opportunity pass you by!
