A 6-year-old suffered serious burns while playing with rubbing alcohol and a lighter Wednesday night. According al.com Tuscaloosa police responded to the 200 block of E James I Harrison Parkway at 6:40 p.m. where two children started a fire while playing with a bottle of rubbing alcohol in the bathroom while their mother slept in another room.

The rubbing alcohol spilled on the floor, and the 3-year-old found a cigarette lighter and ignited it.

Apparently that is when the 6-yr-old was burned.

Now let me get this straight, a mother with 2 kids ages 3 and 6 goes to sleep leaving both of the kids awake (now she may have been very tired) to ramble around the house and they get into bathroom and almost burn themselves and the mother up.

My prayers go out for the 6-yr-old and his mother. Get well soon.
