Flood Watch Remains in Effect for Tuscaloosa County
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flood Watch for portions of Alabama.
The watch is in effect until Monday, June 8, 8 p.m.
The only West Alabama county under the Flood Watch is Tuscaloosa.
“While the rain is not as widespread or as intense as yesterday, some spots are still getting a heavy tropical downpour,” said James Spann, Alabama Weather Network Chief Meteorologist. “A flash flood watch remains in effect for much of North/Central Alabama.”

IMPACTS
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying, flood-prone areas. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
